Matt Blessinger at Muramid Art and Cultural Center

This December, a lot of the work leaves the shop at once.
Matt's sculpture will be showing at Muramid Art and Cultural Center in Oceanside, opening December 5, 2026 and running through January 31, 2027. It's the first time this many pieces have been in one room together — large freestanding sculpture, animals, figures, mechanical characters, and newer work still being finished on the bench right now.
Every piece in the show is one of one, built by hand from industrial and mechanical metal that had already done a job somewhere else. Some of it you'd recognize if you looked close enough.
We're bringing as broad a selection as the space will hold, including work that isn't finished yet. Some of what goes into the show in December is still being welded as of today.
The opening reception is Saturday, December 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
We'll keep sharing from the shop as the work gets ready and installation gets closer.
