Freedom is built around two welded steel figures connected by a central pole.
The lower figure balances on one foot, mouth open and holding tightly to the pole as sweeping strands of metal pull outward around her like powerful wind. Above, a second figure smiles into the same movement, appearing to enjoy the force rather than resist it.
The contrast between the two figures gives the Piece much of its character: two very different reactions inside the same rush of motion.
Freedom was completed in 2026 and is available to view in Oceanside, California, by appointment.
